Summers Day In Fairytale Time Early Childhood Poem by Terence George Craddock

Summers Day In Fairytale Time Early Childhood

who remembers
first thrill catching golden rays

illuminating sunlight caught under a child friend's chin
who remembers laying out on the grass as a small child
on a summers day in fairytale time early childhood

simple small flowers
tiny buttercups radiant

in rich growing glowing buttercup yellow light
grow in profusion among stem blades green grass
take grown gift a single buttercup plucked

hold it up without expectation under a child friend chin
until that magic moment when sunlight angles right
reflects golden glow rich radiant yellow light

to surprise paint a child's chin in yellow light delight
eyes heart in captured reflected glory golden yellow light
childhood wonder perceives beauty magic inner sight

a trick of the light when angles are right births wonder sight
paints a chin life in rich yellow wonder filled moments
childhood is like that no toys needed in nature perfections

perceive countless small daisies stretch across this field
grow with classic white petals surrounding yellow sun disk
soon all classmate young girls start picking small daisies

splitting stems weaving daisy chains in daisies linked
colour flower chains linked by nimble child hands
spread woven rings of growing shape circular colours

daisy chains delight eyes craft grown weaved in nimble hands
soon some adorn child necks as smiles laughter delights eyes
this is flower power in sparkling joy in child eyes imaginations
