Sun Poem by Dorsey Baker

Sun

When I open my eyes
the sun is all I see
When I open my eyes
the sun is all I see
I don't care how much
rain falls
long as it don't fall on me

Clouds get dark and they
get heavy too
Baby you're the cloud hanging
over me and I can't get
over you

When I open my eyes
the sun is all I see
When I open my eyes
the sun is all I see
I don't care how much
rain falls
long as it don't fall on me

My hands are shaky and my
feet are cold
Baby I think
I might be growing old

When I open
my eyes the sun is
all I see
When I open
my eyes the sun is
all I see
I don't care how much
rain falls
long as it don
t fall on me

I can't let no cloud stay
in my sky
and no tear emerge from
my eye

When I open my eyes
the sun is all I see
When I open my eyes
the sun is all I see
I don't care how much
rain falls
long as it don't fall on me
