Sun Down Poem by Matthew Holloway

Sun Down

As the sun goes down
And the shadows creep in
I am left with a nothingness
No feeling or thought
I care to repeat
Or dare admit to knowing
Sleep often evades me
I lay awake in silence
Awaiting the passing of time
To bring back the day
Light the room
Remove the shadows
Which haunt me

We love lights of life-the joy, hope everything is light; and dark-the gloomy things(in your poetic tongue) .But mind can think deep in dark! yet your poem is interesting.Thank you for sharing
