Sun Shine Poem by Jeffrey Mitchell

Sun Shine

Rating: 5.0

I awoke to you in the dark of day for your hour has not yet come, but the presence of you is known. Your glory is shown on the just and unjust, making a difference in life; you reign up high as well as down low.
There is no place that can escape your light, to the highest mountain and through the lowest valleys. A piercing ray of light breaking through the darks of night, reign sun reign over all that I have shown you, I brought you forth to rule over darkness.
The bright morning star shine sun shine so all can see, standing in his rays of light for the comfort and warmth he brings. Who can look upon you, without being affected by you? Who can stand before you, without knowing your true worth in the heavens as well as the earth?

This poem reads like a prayer. It could even be set to music, and is absolutely beautiful.
