Sunken Ships Poem by Kim Aouad

Sunken Ships

Rating: 5.0

But sometimes the ship fails to withstand the storm coming its way.. And you know what? I don't believe that ships, no matter how tough they are, can overcome all the storms they face... At some point a wave higher than the sailors' hopes of surviving the hard blow will hit and destroy everything and there's nothing the ship or the sailors can do about it... At some point the winds blowing in that ship's sails will turn the ship around and ruin it's path along with everything in this ship once so resistant to the power of the winds... I know that challenges are supposed to make a person stronger and that one should never give up and lay one's armor down when fencing life, but all these are just random cliché ideas someone wrote down a hundred years ago... Sometimes we have to fall sometimes we have to relax and lay our armors down sometimes we have to accept defeat... When we think that we are stronger than we actually are is when we will break down when we fall... Resisting all the harsh winds will eventually exhaust the sails and ruin the bases of what is keeping the ship going...Sometimes the best thing to do is accept defeat... We don't have to sustain more than we can...
