Sunrise And Sunset Poem by Carole Davis

Sunrise And Sunset

The warmth of the sun first caresses my face.
Quietly and without reserve I can feel its embrace.
I can hear the birds greeting each other in the trees
I can sense subtle yet intense buzzing of the bees.

I treasure the purity a new day brings
Excited by wonders and learning new things
Of many opportunities waiting to discover
Mysteries of life I wish to uncover.

I am humbled by chance to greet a new day.
Hoping I can help another somewhere along the way.
Throughout this gift of time I have been given
Peaceful grace I hope can be driven.

Into at least one heart may I share some time
Awake some purity and touch the divine
That when sunset comes and I close my eyes
Softy, may I kiss the world with sweet goodbyes.
