Surrender - Poem by Leela Chandra

I surrender unto my lord
Seek salvation from this world

Existence full of joy and misery
Leave behind a trail of slavery

Gratitude for lessons learnt
Ego and ignorance burnt

Give up hope, give up greed
I settle into thee

Topic(s) of this poem: devotion, salvation

Lovely devotional piece of poetry, well articulated and nicely encapsulated in poetic diction with good rhyme scheme. An insightful poem depicting total submission to His Will. Thanks for sharing Leela. Please read my poem MANDELA - THE IMMORTAL ICON. (Report) Reply

Very well said, if only we could actually stop involving into excessive self-indulgence, we may well find salvation...
