Sweet, Sweet Child Poem by Ronald Strickland

Sweet, Sweet Child

Little things they say and do,
with the I love you's and smiles,
the giggles and coos.
Wet kisses on the cheeks,
and then it's off to school,
pictures on the fridge and report cards,
frown or smiles,
they will always be
your sweet, sweet child.
On their own and away from home,
with your worries, you will groan,
wanting your sweet, sweet child to be home.
Being a parent is God's gift to you.
Do it well.
Your sweet, sweet child may become
a parent too,
and bring their sweet, sweet child
to giggle and coo with you.
