Swj Poem by Brandi Guthrie

Swj

Where shall I run if not to your arms You who would save me from darkness's harm My fate is sorrow outside of your touch A prison, this blood realm of torture and such One slice two more, shall I cut too deep? And abandon my soul to a wakeless sleep? Or follow my senses in the pursuit of truth, What once was pure love solidified in youth. Like tiny kntives these echoed pricks of regret Do I hear your whispering words in secret. As fire, I succomb to your sweet seduction. On earth and in hell hat never yeilded such passion. How can you stand here so starched and pressed? Unwilling to leap from the odds of our mess? Your actions say what your lovely lips do lie But I believe you still even so as I cry. Jealousy is searing my mind from within. Down a dreadful path on my knees, I descend. A slave to the memory of angel blue eyes, Without you this loneliness consumes til I die.
