The Wait Poem by Brandi Guthrie

The Wait

Rating: 5.0

The deep blue, I`m falling through,
Remaining vigilant, I wait for you.
The kiss that lingers beyond it`s time
Has found its solace within my mind.
And as the moon, I wait the night,
For love to call at morning`s light.
For now the peaceful darkness reins,
With this solitude to numb the pain.
Minutes take hours and hours drag on.
I seize what memories have not yet gone.
Until once more I discover your arms
And my heart soars out amid the stars.
The more I get, the more I pine,
The more I long to make you mine.
How much longer can this evening last?
My fortitude has long since passed.
At long last, I slip off to sleep
To find you waiting in my dreams.

Brandi four tens in a row from me, you are on fire! Never let them use an extinguiser on you though, keep the fires burning! Another sincerely sweet poem with a great yearning back dropp and lovely ending that bring such a brilliant end to a climaxed crescendo. You have excellent skill here in building it all up and such a wonderful end delivery... make you want to find a pillow and snuggle up to it and let the pleasurable dreams engulf you. Again superb penning and a masterstroke of an idea all wrapped up in some the tenderest thoughts imaginable. Bravo Brandi... you keep on going gal! Dale :)
