Tagore Song (#17) Oh, How Unfortunate Am I! Poem by Tushar Ray

Tagore Song (#17) Oh, How Unfortunate Am I!

(Keno chokher jwale vijiye dilem na)

Why didn't I soak those flying dirt!
With my very tears
Who could guess Thou Shalt come!
As an uninvited person -
Thou came crossing the desert lands
Lacking any tree-shades
Indeed I created Thy travelling-pains
Oh, how unfortunate I am!

I was passing my day idly in a shade
In the comforts of my home
Never thinking of the hiking pain
Thou could face traveling along
Yet, I felt pain at heart
As sadness, in my longing to see Thee
That made an enduring sore within
Oh, how unfortunate I am!
