Take A Look Poem by Jason Summers

Take A Look

Take a look into the mirror of our past
And some would be surprised that we've last.
From all the struggle and hardship
And the words, 'don't f*** with me, I'm not taking your s***.'
Maybe there were tears for happiness and tears of joy
But most were shed when our fellings were toyed.
I'll look back into that mirror for love
Because it starts within ourselves whole heart above.
You must ask, 'do I love myself enough to love someone else.'
Then if you don't, you know the rest.
When I look in that mirror I love myself and I love you
I know it within my heart, it's not something I have to prove.
Most of all I love for gaining love back,
Because God only knows you've given me enough slack.
