Take It All Poem by Nassy Fesharaki

Take It All

Take it all

Years ago, heard ear:
- "Smell mine;
-the rest yours, whatever! "

Possibly don't know me
-can find me in albums
-of the rocks, and in caves.

With birth in Middle East
-inherit kind of genes,
-to love learning in peace.

On the walls, murals and writings
- (preserved partially…)
- "civilised for long time" is revealed;
-till you came, gunpowder was brought,
-and then sealed with the bombs and drones.
-They killed and destroyed and removed
-eagerness for learning, peace, schools.
-You arrived carrying white flag
-extracted oil and turned black.
-On shoulder of the oil bloodshed,
-you turned us to useless particles.

We became Red-Carpet;
-flattened homes, houses and blood its colour.

This venom has killed all,
-not only our lands, us
-that the world and yourself;
-with micro and macro plastic.

I hear when turning pages of
-my oppressed, disturbed mind:
- "Leave for me the name and
-take away whatever…! "

So, please hurry up,
-take it all and get out
-I pray and pray and pray:
- "God help us to be safe."

Your poems are a documentary of deprivation of a nation of its natural and intellectual resources.

Thank Alam, I, as a poet, feel responsible to write the truth and record the history, which is never delivered in its bare and naked fact, as must; instead it is intentionally diverted and reversed to show what Big Brother wants.
