Take Me Out Poem by Nassy Fesharaki

Take Me Out

Take me out

Take me out
I invite…

Take me far
-to place and to time
-where things are just guesses
- (manmade myths, first parents!)

Take me out
I invite…

Take me to
-where and when
-Mother Earth is mattress
-and pillows, leaves, grass or stone,
-vast sky is the quilt, blanket

Together, you and I
-will be served equal
-no pan, pot, nor plate
-no table for kitchen,

Take me out
I invite…

There and then
-the trees are servers
-pristine rivers, lakes
-the cashier is nature
-we will pay, reacting
-joyfully, thankfully
-not money; coin, paper

Take me out
I invite…

There we can face the wind
-open mouths into it
-play game of shout-loud
-make our heads look frogs'
-both simple and childish!
There will be no trench
-for fallen; nor grave
-for corpse of the leaves
-some carried by the winds
-some dancing in breeze
-everywhere aroma
-of rotting in blood
-whole world is a canvas
-let dogma say: "Eden"

Take me out
I invite…

In my hand I keep food
-for cute animals like ghazels
-look at them right in eyes
-no cage, zoo; will not harm
-let them live as we do
-lawless and free, wild

Take me out
I invite…

To the times where there is
-no master, no slave
-no foreman, labourer
-no flag, no nation
-no fighting for anthem

Take me out
I invite…

Oh dear, my dear
-listen to suggestion
-please don't complain:
- "You are just dreamer! "
-if so then…
-help me die and depart
-I rather live the kind
-of the life I mentioned
-hate to live on cobbles
-concretes and asphalts
-take me there…
