Taken Flight Poem by Jennifer Birchall

Taken Flight

Rating: 5.0

I can't hear the birds singing
I'm trying so hard but not even a whisper
How can that be possible
The song usually brings such joy
Even at first light in lonely hours
It's as though I don't deserve
To have even the simple of pleasures
That are so precious to me

Are there no birds present for you to hear the singing of? Change of weather causing absence of song? Many questions about why you can not hear the birds sing anymore.

Poems are a place for both moments and the sadness that comes with the gloom, a really good poem you have penned, may songbirds sing for you with the next dawn.
