Taking The Leap Forward To Better Days... Poem by Sebastian Melmoth

Taking The Leap Forward To Better Days...

Crusty eye lids, Aching toes, Itchiness of my physical woes
Popping pills to fake life support and dull the sadness of madness flows

Feeling older each day, each hour, each minute, each second, that passes
Helpless to stop this inevitable crawl

Random thoughts popping into my head as if mini plays of the mind
Words descriptions reeling, Thesaurus in my brain working overtime.

Lifting the lid of consciousness what lessons will I find, what will be learnt in time
Body shakes, quiver with every move, when will I get my groove?

Need to draw a line, move on, and move forward
Easier said than done for those looking from the outside in

Be your own motivator, know you can make it, come back from the abyss
It's never too late to try, just reach out your hands for human kindness

You only have yourself to prove that you can do this not for the audience waiting outside
It's starts within to find the strength to stand, taking the leap forward to better days.
