Taste Of Vanity Poem by G J Salgado

Taste Of Vanity

Rating: 4.0

If beauty came in a bottle...
What would it look like?
Would it look like a super model?
Do you think we could ever look alike?

When it looks you in the mirror does it have a face that makes you weep?
But the beauty within is only skin deep.

It isn't exactly what you had hoped for is it?
A shallow heart and a mind that still doesn't fit.

It is a creation that you made for yourself,
Without consideration of your own values or health.

You cannot expect for everything to be perfect,
Not thinking of anything it would affect.

Blinded by your own selfishness and devious ways,
You have lost what was most in important while the wickedness stays.

Some would say it is a small price to be beautiful,
Now you have managed to become quite the fool.

You lack all of the good qualities,
And it has made its own mark within your insanity.

Paints the most amazing portrait,
Of a person that everyone will soon forget.
