Tears Over You - Poem by Michael P. McParland
Home now at last for the day,
nowhere more to go
no duties save a minor few.
So alone in my room I sit
with an aching yearning heart for my one,
the tears that I have held back
so the world won't see them flowing
now prick my eyes and fill them wholly.
The hot lonely tears how they burn,
missing my true love, my dear best friend.
I miss her so, I can't live without her sweet soul
and her giving me all that precious love I know she holds.
So often though the world has other plans,
so I now sit alone with my tears.
Soon with my head down on my pillow,
my music playing with dreams of us snuggling,
kissing, blissfully dancing,
a future I still pray will come in glory.
Lying here sending hugs and kisses.
These tears come from true adoration and pure love,
they come from having known a divine soul.
These tears must carry me to my slumber
for I ache inside nothing can fully soothe
or calm the longing and yearning I feel inside.
Forevermore I will love that gorgeous adorable
wonderful heart and soul, my little love bird,
and send all I have and I am to her each day
with the words I truly love you more than anything
and am here for you should you need your forever man.
