Teenage Love Poem by Tracey Owens

We wanted it to last forever,
But our love only lasted a few months.
We thought we were in love,
But we were only fooling ourselves.
People said it wouldn't last
And they were right all along.
Everyone said we couldn't be in
Love because we were only kids.
We told each other that
we love one another,
But did we really mean those
Three important words.
They happened to be right
About many things.
We are only teenagers
And it was teenage love.
