Telling A Lie Poem by Randy McClave

Telling A Lie

Never lie
Said the lord to I
Do not live in that guilt.
The words you speak
Others will seek
And that is how you are built.
The words you say
Can't be taken away
Upon other tongues they'll be spilt.
They will become your truth
Like a child's first tooth
Then in a Hell you will wilt.

Do not lie
Said God to I
Do not commit to that sin.
Once it is spoke
In my book it will be wrote
That is where judgement will begin.
Other sins you will commit
Without worries or conflict
Or without care from deep within.
Then you'll believe your lies
Even when you give tithes
The Devil will then grin.

Never Lie
Said Jesus to I
As I listened to his voice.
A lie is a disease
The sick it will only please
You always have that choice.
The truth is the best
It helps your soul rest
Your spirit it will always hoist.
The father said to I
Never tell a lie
Tell the truth and then rejoice.
