Tell Your Mother That You Love Her Poem by Randy McClave

Tell Your Mother That You Love Her

Tell your mother that you love her
Whenever to her you ever speak,
Tell your mother that you love her
On everyday, of every single week.
Remember it was her who gave you life
And for months she alone carried you,
Indeed you gave her happiness and sometimes strife
But, for you, what wouldn't she do.
She ate whatever you demanded of it
You kept her awake many of a sleepless night,
To a true commitment, you're the one who made her commit
You also gave her great memories, and delight.
She felt you move and she heard your heart
When no one else really cared, or could,
Some called it all normal, you instead called it art
God, of course called it all good.
Only you have seen and touched her soul
As she proudly carried you on her pregnant ride,
You made her complete, and you made her whole
And only you know what her heart sounds like from inside.
Like snow, all life slowly and sadly melts away
Until it all becomes a sad and missed memory
To tell my mother I love her, I must say it when I pray
Truly I wish again, her I could see.
Only one mother is given to us to give us life
God is the designer and the great and true petitioner,
Without our mothers we would have no future or life
So please, tell your mother that you love her.
