Husband pours broth, wife drinks aloud
Both nod their heads saying it's delicious - Folklore

Today, you cooked the tender gourd
Which is my gift for your quick special broth dish.
This is an hourglass gourd with its beautiful curves.
This gourd is from my garden and it's yours as you asked.
This is the first fruit of its vine
Its seeds will be very fruitful if being saved for sowing.
I don't know, but that is what farmers say
However, as you like it so much, so it's yours.
Being cooked with fresh shrimps and seasoned with your love
This broth dish of tender gourd became much more delicious.
Thank you for our morning and evening meals
Thank you for loving me days and nights.
Loving me, you cooked with your love

Râu tôm nấu với ruột bầu
Chồng chan vợ húp, gật đầu khen ngon - cadao

Bầu non em nấu hôm nay
Bầu này anh tặng, nấu canh, ăn liền.
Bầu này chính hiệu bầu eo
Bầu này anh cấy, em xin cho liền.
Bầu này là trái đầu tiên
Nếu mà làm giống sẽ nhiều trái ăn.
Người ta nói thế, biết đâu
Nhưng mà em thích, bầu này anh cho.
Tôm tươi nấu với bầu non
Lòng em trong đó, càng ngon thêm nhiều.
Cám ơn bữa sáng, bữa chiều
Cám ơn em vẫn sáng chiều thương anh.
Thương anh, em nấu bữa ăn
Thương em, anh viết thơ này tặng em.
