Tender Moments Poem by Sonal Chhaya

Tender Moments

Rating: 5.0

The sun ablazing
Birds a chirping
Together sing a couplet
Cat mewing
Wolf howling
Bees humming
Going about their work
A bell tingling
Pleasant sound to the ears.

I hear voices from yonder
Frightening sounds
I fail to understand
I blink my eyes
Too scared to open
To see and comprehend
Suppressed a sob.

An angelic touch
Warm to my skin
Tender and soft
Cradle me to thy breast.

Emotions choke my breath, numbed
A wave of frenzy
Heart dances in ecstasy
Hysteria overpower ancient suffering
Fire rekindled
Bond renewed - To love and be loved
Safe at last in the arms of love
Sanctity thy name is MOTHER! ! ! !
