Sunrise Poem by Sonal Chhaya

Sunrise

Rating: 5.0

Eyes darting, searching
Finally meet
Locked in a gaze
Heart skips a beat.

Hands outstretched
Clasped in an embrace
Lips tremble
Kiss at last
Moment of bliss.

But alas! Spell is broken
Days, months, years slip away
Loneliness and solitude
Suffering long endured
Heart yearns for sunrise.

Diamond on the leaf
Gleaming in delight
I sneak up to it
Sparkles of light drown me
Spellbound and speechless
A vision unfolds
A new life, a beginning! ! !
