Tent Limerick Poem by Grace Diane Jessen

Tent Limerick

Rating: 5.0

A ridiculous lady from Trent
Went to sleep every night in a tent.
When the winter wind blew,
Then away the tent flew.
Said the lady, 'I won't pay the rent! '

No need to pay rent on a tent that went!

this is a question but what is limerick. I might be able to understand the poem better with your definition of it.

A limerick is a 5-line jingle or nonsense verse. It has a definite rhyme scheme aabba and is usually written in anapestic meter. Lines 1,2, and 5 have 3 feet and lines 3 and 4 have 2 feet of anapestic meter. Hope this is helpful.

Funny limerick. I am pretty sure I left a comment several weeks ago, but it's not here.

Very funny. Sounds like when the tent went, she got all bent... out of shape.
