Terrorism - If The Darkness Prevails Poem by Paul Warren

Terrorism - If The Darkness Prevails

If the Darkness prevails
And evil tips the scales
How can we live in this world then
Who will stand if justice ends?

In times past it has been easy to know
Good from bad as it would show
Now people will hide in plain sight
And jump out in public ready to fight

Sometimes the fight can seem so grave
When the innocent die by a terrorist knave
And we can tire as the road seems long
But we must persist against the devil's throng.

your first four lines are haunting me.beautfuly written. We can not give in to the fear/ terror Then they win.your line who will stand if justice endsreminds me of the lone Chinese college student standing in front of the tank, making matching moves like some surreal chess game. Was that tienamen square? Not sure that's spelled correctly.? Anyway what I am trying to say is that as Lon g as there is one man who will stand in front of a tank, terrorism will not prevail. I recently wrote a poem about fear, let me know if you like it.

thanks for sharing the concern and protest against evil raising its head as terrorism these days.. killing the innocent, unprovoked attacks.. we have a very meaningful saying from the holy Gita, when lord Krishna speaks to Arjuna at the war front giving him courage to fight evil even if the evil was personified by his own cousins and extended family..thanks for sharing Glanirva Bhavathi Bharatha, Abhyuthanam Adharmaysya Tadatmanam Srijami Aham'. Bhagavad Gita (Chapter IV-7) Whenever there is decay of righteousness O! Bharatha And a rise of unrighteousness then I manifest Myself! Praritranaya Sadhunam Vinashaya Cha Dushkritam Dharamasansthapnaya Sambhavami Yuge-Yuge. Bhagavat Gita (Chapter IV-8) For the protection of the good, for the destruction of the wicked and for the establishment of righteousness, I am born in every age.
