Thailand - Dejavu Poem by Darwin Henry Beuning

Thailand - Dejavu

Rating: 5.0

Soon we travel
Over the Rainbow
To the Land of Smiles
'Thailand'
Leaving our Utah home
Snowbanks and icy cold

Returning once more
To my wife's childhood home
Tambon Maha Phot
Amphoe Kao Liao
Close to the 'Heavenly City'
Nakhon Sawan

A journey to celebrate
Our forty-one years
Of wedded bliss

I enjoyed reading of your journey to Thailand. The 'Heavenly City' sounds most poetic. Your photo is also very fitting to go with the poem.

Pictured with me are Yongyut and Lukkana Kaewthinthuean. They have a lovely home where Samur's home once was. Lukkana is my wife's 1st cousin. We have so many wonderful times with them.

Hank, I hope you and Bea enjoy your time in Thailand with her relatives. Take your chessboard with you and a notebook to jot down new poems!
