Good health
Something I've taken for granted
But now, at sixty-nine, my first surgery
A Hernia operation
Arrived Davis Hospital at 9: 30AM
Lots of paperwork, sign this, sign that
Listening to names being called
Waiting my turn
Wheeled into the operating room 1PM
Flat on my back
Overhead lights so bright
Suddenly, 'lights out'
Don't remember a thing
Opening my eyes in the recovery room
And seeing nurse Norine
Waiting for me to come around
My surgeon,
Doctor Wade B. Larsen
Comes by, give me the 'thumbs up'
Surgery went well
Released and driven home 3PM
Two days have now passed
Thank goodness for pain killer
My friend, 'Percocet'
Been there, done that, Hank. Keep relaxing and following doctor's orders. Soon you will be up and around and playing chess again.
It sounds as if your operation went well. I wish you a complete recovery Darwin.
