Thank You... Poem by Pranav Kumar

Thank You...

Rating: 5.0

Now I think
how much you care
Cuz when I tried to blink
back my tear,
you gave me a hug
and a warm coffee mug.

When anything went wrong,
you always came along
and made me forget,
why I was upset.

You filled my life
with colors so bright
and happiness I cannot tell
just like an angel.

Now that you are away
I try to walk back
and remember a day
when I held your hand
or showed you the way,
but not a sight...

And now I desperately wish
I had not been so selfish
And you dont have a clue
How much I want to Thank you...

Hm I'd say it's not to bad of a poem. It's very good for 10. I would love to see it mature even more and have it wrote on your own.

Hi Pranav - A very impressive poem for one so young. I am nearly 70 years older than you and I could not do any better! You emphasise in each of the first three stanzas the important things our loved ones do for us and for which we should be thankful: A Hug & a Coffee Mug, Empathy and Comfort, 'Human Angels' who bring Colour and Happiness into our lives. In stanzas four and five you remind us that when we are absent from our loved ones all we have are our memories. Therefore it is very important to say thank you when they are actually with us! A great poem which deserves the same score as your age!
