Thank You Poem by Israh Sadan

Thank You

Rating: 5.0

Thank you for this wedding ring,
And all the joy it promised to bring.
I thank you for this house we share,
Even though you're barely there.
I thank you for all the things you said,
That weigh down my heart like balls of lead.
I thank you for every offence
That taught me to build up my defence.
I thank you for every tear I've spilled.
You have made me strong willed.
But most of all and most sincerely,
I thank you oh so dearly,
For this little boy, and little girl.
The only promise that turned out to be real.
