Thanks To My Darling - Poem by Michael P. McParland

I give so many thanks to you my dear darling
for the endless ways you help me and things you do.
Even when you're not present in the physical
in spirit and heart there's still so much you do
that you may or may not know but I swear on
my honor that it's true you still do much it is true.

You are a protector in more ways than you know.
I ran across something the other day and it's bothered me
since but thinking of you chases the fright I feel away.
You know I love horror and strange frightening things,
but this has gotten to me and continued to needle my
deep hidden fears and keeps scaring me.
I feel your spirit though with your deep warming love,
I think of your smile and deep beauty you hold,
then I feel better with peace, strength, and consoled.
Thank you my darling for all that you do.

You help get me through so many pains both physical and mental,
like today I still type and write
for despite my burned and infected finger
for you I find the strength to give everything,
no matter what pain because I know and feel
your strength and how you have overcome
and it inspires me my love.
As in no matter the saddness or pain from my mental
or emotional sways you are there and help pick me up and get along.
I thank you my darling and love you to no end.

You do so much and it will take many more poems
in which to list and to thank you for the loving support you give,
oh my dear Angel as it takes me time know that I
so deeply love, admire, treasure, and cherish you.
I thank you so much my darling for all that you do.
I will love you forever and want to be with you for all time,
come let me hold you and for eternity be mine.
