That Letter Poem by ANJANDEV ROY

The bereaved mother found out the letter,
Which was the last one from her son,
He had been a young soldier of the famous regiment,
And he had died a heroic death in the warfront.
That morning everyone in the house was busy in their work,
But the wretched mother was deeply engrossed in that letter,
The dormant sorrows of her arose again after so many years
And she wept bitterly while reading it,
Her fingers were moving slowly and softly throughout the letter,
As if she was loving her living son with great fervour.
The relationship between a mother and her child can never be wiped out,
Nothing in the world is sweeter and lovelier than this.
