That Morning - Poem by Anna Dietze

Screeching halt
Sounds of crushing metal
Horrible smells of gas and blood
Panic all around
Shattered windows
Crushing glass beneath my feet
This is what I remember
On the early morning of October 16th,2005
Tragedy struck
Forever scarred in my heart
All the sounds
All the smells
Everything I saw
Is forever stuck in my mind
All the hard work we put into our show
Gone within minutes
Its hard to go day by day
Without thinking about it
The panic is still there
Riding a coach bus, passing a semi on a highway
It will always be there.
