That Noise You Enjoy Poem by Lawrence S. Pertillar

That Noise You Enjoy

Once you realize,
You have lived your life limited.
Together to come will be your lips.
And your eyes and ears will open more.
Wider than ever before.
To value the listening of others.
Saying something with substance to learn.
Instead of that noise you enjoy,
Repeatedly coming from your mind...
To find it found the only way out,
Is through your mouth.
That seems often enough unable to stay shut!
