That's Love One Would Have To Suppose Poem by Francis Duggan

That's Love One Would Have To Suppose

Of it millions of books have been written and more stories of it every day
It happens to young and healthy people and to those who are ageing and gray
On it you won't find an age limit for to love one is never too old
There's joy in the glow of it's warmth but heartache comes when it grows cold
Love has it's great and tragic stories and love has it's joy and it's tears
Some loves they do not last a Season whilst others they live on for years
People for it have even been murdered the flames of anger it has fanned
The ways of love are far too complex for me to try to understand
The one that you do love the truest would have to be your greatest friend
And the love that does start with a passion is often the quickest to end
Of love there are millions of stories a love story or more than one in every life
A bloke I know in the pub he grows angry everytime he thinks of his ex wife
Before she left him he felt happy he always referred to her as his Rose
But what he calls her now not worth repeating that's love one would have to suppose.
