The Absence Of Mind-Altering Substances - Poem by Amy Grzyboski

I was told today this was the beginning of my life
Not everything that happens will end up right
Clear-minded now I think twice
I look up to the sky and ask, 'Why GOD me? '
Not everything was meant for me to see
Miracles and blessings follow me in my journey
A better way to live
Enjoying my life with my kids
So much to be grateful for
A free bird with room to soar
The sky is the limit, there is so much room
I feel like a butterfly emerging from a cocoon
