The Abyss Poem by ABHINAV MUKHERJEE

The Abyss

Rating: 5.0

When words are not words
And they pierce through you like a scythe,
You wonder whether you should breathe.
The world darkens around you,
You trust a very few,
Truth has almost no meaning for you
The world has played enough with you
You crumble down on the ground
Only to drown in your tears with no one around.
There will be some calling you a clown
You feel numb
Void of emotions.
To believe in something is dumb
Sunny mornings are gone,
There is no dawn,
Before the darkest night.
The truth fills you with fright.
You don't realise when you fall in the Abyss,
The devil is in bliss.
Dancing along the corridors of hell,
With a sinister grin.
He was another victim of the Abyss
Forever plunged in grief within.
