The Actress Poem by Tamara Beryl Latham

The Actress

Rating: 5.0

Her form holds the scent of Jasmine,
Slight like Laura Wingfield and fragile
as pieces of a Crystal menagerie.

She moves,
as if balanced between dihedral angles of light
(like a star's dance of radiant energy)
with an alluring smile,
warmer than meadows of wildflowers
on an idle Day in Spring.

Such vivid and beautiful metaphors throughout your poem introduce the reader to an actress that sounds quite 'radiant'. In total agreement with Rob on this one!

Why have you used ' Day ' instead of day?

Day i the name of the actress. Crystal Jasine Day. I've oven her name throughout the poem. She starred locally in the play 'The Glass Menagerie, ' and did a fine acting job. Thanks for reading and replying. : -)

Crystal Jasmine Day. The letters in a person's name are always capitalized, like Rajendra Prasad Meena Jaipur. : -)
