When your heart first broke
You could almost feel every little crack start to form
You could feel pieces of your heart
falling out of place
And you knew right there
Was the beginning of your hearts
Long, turbulent storm
What appeared to be rain
Falling brutally upon your head
Was really just tears falling from your eyes
What started off as the best feeling in the world
Turned out to be a lightning storm in disguise
O and you felt it my dear
When lighting did again strike your heart
But instead of leaving you with the feeling of love
All it did this time was tear it apart
So for now you sit in the midst of the storm
Holding what remains of your heart
But I promise you my dear
You will have a new start
For the rain will pass
The lighting will stop
And the dark grey clouds will disappear
And I'll help you salvage whats left of your heart
Because for you I have
And will always care
You may not see it now
But this I guaruntee
The after math will be much better
Than the storm through which once
You could barely see
And I'll help you salvage whats left of your heart Because for you I have And will always care That's my favorite line. Such a moving statement that contributes to the feeling that this poem comes straight from the heart. A gaurentee and concern so tenderly expressed. The best thing we can hope to accomplish with our words is to build someone up. Well done.

When going through heartbreak what we need the most is reassurance of someone's love for us. You've done that for your friend while painting a bright future. I can almost see your hand lifting their chin up and wiping tears away. Lovely.
