The Air Is Supposed To Be Free, Free Poem by Hebert Logerie

The Air Is Supposed To Be Free, Free

Rating: 0.5

The air is supposed to be free, free
Stop the bigotry! Stop the vile cruelty
The air is supposed to be gratuitous
You have a lot of nerves to be so vicious
We can't breathe, we can't breathe
Leave us alone. Leave. Live and let live
Remove your fat knees off our necks
We did not dial 911. Stay off our decks
We did not call you. You're trespassing
You don't have a warrant. Let me sing
We can't breathe. Leave. Let us live
Our lives as we please. We can't breathe
Get up. Remove your flocking knees
Of our necks. Do it now. Please. Please
Damn it. Move away. We can't breathe
Get up. Go away. Leave. Go, Let us live
The air is supposed to be free, free
Stop the racism, stop the ugly tyranny.
