Long ago, my empty soul filled with joy
when you lovingly said 'lets enjoy
the autumn moon together'
my craving heart had a murmur!

I struggled to breathe air
failed to control unknown fear
tears kept rolling down my face
heart raced fast, body started to shake.

Miles apart, I still hear your singsong voice
love flows through me and I rejoice
faraway, you are my shining moon
surely sight you after the monsoon.
