The Awakening Poem by Sebastian Melmoth

The Awakening

For a second silence, peace, calm, the world perfect as it should be starting the awakening.

Our eyes open like a pretty flower opens in the radiant sun.

Head fills our minds with its to do list, the feelings of our life's situation, flowing through us again like the clear waters of the river.

Routine kicks in, "Give me Caffeine", breakfast the rocket fuel to our bodily machines in motion.

Let the water of life cleanse us as we clean, wash, bathe, shower, do our hair.

Decisions, decisions oh what clothes to wear which impressions do I want the world to see me today.

As I face the world, thoughts of tomorrow when our eyes get to open, and we start the awakening again.
