The Beach Poem by Lyn Paul

The Beach

Rating: 4.9

The Beach was waiting for me today
My fears were gone and it was time to stay
To feel the sand between mytoes
To feel how hard the sea breeze blows
The waves were wild, they were calling me
The sand was blowing, I could hardly see

My heart was beating all so loud
Then the sunshone through the cloud
I knew then I was moving on
And all my pain was finally gone
I closed my eyes for a second or two...
Just cherishing our love that will always be true

Topic(s) of this poem: death
Seeing alot of people at peace with death particularly when the deceased has been barely living for sometime and just wanting to be set free, inspired me to write this.

'I closed my eyes for a second or two... Just cherishing our love that will always be true' Beautiful indeed. But I couldn't really see how the note relates to the poem.

Like Khairul, I too wonder how the notes relate to the poem! The sea with its undulating waves and its sprawling beach with the wind have quelled all your heart aches and you are getting filled with positive hopes of an enduring relationship.....! . This is what I gather from this poem! The setting is beautiful!

Hauntingly beautiful transition from being released from the pain of an illness to giving a person's soul back to nature and their realisation that cherished memories are eternal! Stunning write Lyn!

Beautiful rendition of words in pleasant train of thought, elegantly brought forth from the heart with conviction. Thanks for sharing Lyn. Always remain blessed.
