The Bird Sings Poem by Casey Stewart

The Bird Sings

The caged bird sings a song
Oh does the caged bird sing
A song for the world
So lend an ear and lend your heart
Locked in a cage bound by time
We are not so different
Its sorrowful eyes fixed on the window
Its chirps echo high across the harsh winds
The dove sings for all to heaar
Come all hand in hand and do not forget
Who it is you hold onto
Together this cage is not so lonely
Together we can make the best of our time
