The Bloody Sea Waves Of Our Shores Poem by Hebert Logerie

The Bloody Sea Waves Of Our Shores

Rating: 5.0

This is not a natural weather phenomenon
This is a human tragedy, this is fleeing oppression
The sea waves are red with human blood
The sand is bloody, pink and red, so is the mud
Of the human flesh. The sharks are not feasting
This is very unusual, this is truly devastating
People are fleeing, women and children are dying
Everybody is horrified, even the fish are weeping
What is going in Syria? What’s happening
In our world, specifically in the Middle East?
We, humans, naturally need food, stability and peace
And that’s not asking for or dreaming of too much.
Bring the beacon of Justice and Liberty, the torch
Of Freedom and Decency, and the flags of Love
Let’s talk, unite, and hold hands to help each other
Let’s show more respect for the Almighty above
We are brothers and sisters, in spite of our color
Let’s stop all types of sufferings and discrimination
God only recognizes one Flag, one People and one Nation
We are in this mess together, let’s welcome the migrants
The refugees, the poor of this planet, and the inhabitants
Of our sad world. Believe me; we are in this mess together
This massacre could have been avoided, this awful disaster
Is unacceptable in our era, in our world. In our nation of plenty
We can do better than that, we have no excuses. It is a pity
To see how the blood of our siblings has discolored waves
Fish, sands, mud, beaches, boardwalks, with innocent cadavers
On our shores. Human bodies have literally littered the landscape
Adults are fleeing fascism; women and children are trying to escape
Death, tortures in the hands of a few power hungry mad men
This is a mayhem; this is causing too much unnecessary pain
This is hell on earth for countless vulnerable innocents
Please help the migrants, and offer them temporary tents
Welcome them in our country, in our homes, give them refuge
Please do not discriminate against them, do not misjudge
The children of God, our brothers, and our sisters
Let’s stop the sufferings now and avoid future disasters
The sea waves are red and pink with human blood
The sand is bloody, pink, red, and dirty, so is the mud
It is criminal to quietly and mutely witness this catastrophe
It’s inhuman not to react and revolt against this brutal tyranny
Let’s stop this human genocide now
Let’s help our brothers and sisters now.
