The Blue Boys Of Summer Poem by Richard Wlodarski

The Blue Boys Of Summer

Rating: 5.0

Well they gave it a shot
They couldn't win the lot
But they gave it the good ole college try
And without a lie they didn't die

Bautista did need Pepto Bismol
He seemed to just not give it his all
Martin didn't seem to have the flu
He kept them together with his glue

Pillar was a pillar as an outfielder
And he wasn't too shabby as a hitter
Devon brought a little Avon calling
Into the infield of his making

Saunders didn't chase many towers
So he wasn't sent to the showers
Smoak didn't need a toke
'Cause he wasn't a joke

Encarnacion the designated hitter
Is gonna make it through the courts and be bigger
Donaldson had run-in with beard trimmer
Ended up The Blue Jays ultimate winner

Marcus and Marco
The pitching duo
Gave it their all
Went down for the fall

Osuna
Was buena
And Roberto
Very mucho

The blue boys of summer
Made today a bummer
But for all season long
They deserve this fun song
