The Bonds (Sonnet) Poem by Perdita Young (Hanna Wang)

The Bonds (Sonnet)

Rating: 5.0

I'd break away and shake off the fright,
I'd flee and be gone, not being its prey;
Why should one fear so, of going astray,
When Fate catches the thread of every kite...
A happy person relishes food in each bite,
When music rises, he just dance and sway;
A lifetime is starred with the few soirées,
While passions may get wet ere you ignite...
But when the winds lift the curtain and peep,
When thoughts of you in deep nights to me throng,
I see the efforts to rhyme we depart,
I know it's hard to doff before the reap...
When morn glow sprays on air its sweetest song,
Anew I pin to the wall the old chart.

Fright should be broken and shaken. Fate catches the thread of every kite and this is very interesting. A nice expression of faith motivates mind in this lovely poem. This is excellently penned...10
