The Bounty Of The Year [nature] Poem by alan brown

The Bounty Of The Year [nature]

Rating: 4.8

The wheels dug deep in the muddy rut
as the tractor left the field.
Bringing forth the bounty of the year
as the harvest went on.
Apples red and dripping
rocked withing the cart
As grapes green and sturdy
turned water into whine
within the ageing walls.

Corn bright and inviting
swayed in anticipation
as the sickle cut deep
within the field.
Man toiled for natures bounty
to replenish his dwindling stock
as a new year lingered on.

Beautiful write about nature in all it's glory, raw, vivid description and very well written!
