The Breakthrough Poem by Kishore Kumar Das

The Breakthrough

If you are poor
but want to be rich
you are pursuing an opposite
that contains the thought
from which you are escaping!
what you are pursuing
holds that
from which you are running! !
that is the common mistake
everybody does
in the pursuit of riches and success
and invites sorrow
when unfulfilled
freedom from the opposites
the hallmark of WORK:
just beware of success
but don't crave for success
that's what Lord Buddha teaches
that's what Lord Krishna preaches
work without expectation:
and expectation can be curbed
from freedom of the opposites.
