The Bridge In The Fog Poem by Ency Bearis

The Bridge In The Fog

I aimed to fulfill my dreams certainly
A life fitted on purpose to prosper
to thrive and succeed through shadow and light
Attain the prospect, I meant to behold

The map and path are laid out with compass
At pre-dawn I started to track the course
And with hours of trekking, I reached a bridge
The plank of weathered wood, I to cross

The bridge in the fog, a hazy threshold
It's in the forest, the village of trees
And the forest holds bridge breathing in fog
a spooky scene, the mist creeps to my bones

The single-pier bridge, if I step on. if I fall
The hushed water, and mist, waits to drown me
My pure fancy thoughts, but I reboot my brain
For the mist was not barrier to my thoughts

The vapor did not confine me at all
It focuses my mind on the present
Letting fearlessness pave the way forward
And I to advance with self-confidence

Together to balance my resilience
Therefore, I can achieve my sublime fate
Fate is like passing the bridge in the fog
It's image of vagueness and unknown

To pass like that image of unknown
And to be in nice outcome of future
Be brave and have self-confidence
With faith, not sight, bear these facts
